The standalone GPS modules are of SMT type and embedded with SiRF4 high sensitivity navigation engine. They support best-in-class acquisition sensitivity, tracking sensitivity, Time-To-First-Fix, accuracy and ultra-low power consumption. The GPS modules provide maximum sensitivity with low system power.
The GPS module-SIM08 cooperates with SIM900 which host the GPS software inside for many wireless applications, such as automotive, tracking, etc. With Embedded AT running inside SIM900, it will eliminate the needs of external MCU to lower the total product cost and enables faster time-to-market.
